The deeply experienced team leverages their background as operators, lenders, and structured finance executives to create custom financing solutions that meet our clients’ objectives while provided a risk-mitigated vehicle through which to deploy capital.

Andy Thomas

Managing Partner

Mr. Thomas joined Redpoint Capital in 2008 as one of the founding partners seeking to provide capital to companies in the special finance sector. Prior to Redpoint, Mr. Thomas spent 15 years as the Chief Financial Officer for a multi-state consumer finance company. In 2005, Mr. Thomas was tasked with the process of negotiation and oversight in the sale of the company to a public company. Mr. Thomas began his career in the Dallas office of Arthur Andersen in the audit and financial services and eventually in the specialty consulting practice. His experience included the mergers of regional and national banks, real estate consulting and international finance. Mr. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Harding University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas.

Alex Dunev

Managing Partner

Mr. Dunev joined Redpoint in 2017 and is responsible for driving Redpoint’s strategic priorities, including sourcing new investment opportunities and raising capital to deploy into Redpoint’s investment strategies. Mr. Dunev was previously a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division at UBS, leading the bank’s Specialty Finance efforts in the Americas. Prior to UBS Mr. Dunev also covered Specialty Finance companies at Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse. Over his career, he has executed hundreds of transactions across M&A, IPOs and other forms of capital raising. Mr. Dunev earned both his B.S. and his MBA from Boston College and holds the FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Spring Hollis 

Portfolio Manager

Ms. Hollis is a Portfolio Manager of the General Partner. Prior to joining the Investment Manager, Ms. Hollis was the chief operating officer of Digital Contact, an international digital marketing company, where her focus was on strategic partnerships and acquisitions as well as the product development of marketing platform driven by machine learning. Prior to Digital Contact, Ms. Hollis founded and led a multi-strategy principal investing and consulting firm focused on opportunities in the private credit and equity markets, with an emphasis on distressed issuers of privately held debt. Spring began her career in the financial industry at Deutsche Bank where she rose to Managing Director in the Global Principal Finance group and a member of the senior management team, focused on principal investments in structured credit and equity positions across asset classes.
Ms. Hollis received her juris doctorate degree from New York University School of Law in 1998, and a bachelor of arts degree in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994. Spring serves as a mentor with the Yale Enterprise Institute and on the board of The Country School in Madison, Connecticut.

Daniel Adashek 

Portfolio Manager

Mr. Adashek joined Redpoint in 2017 and is responsible for managing Redpoint’s due diligence, structuring, and investment evaluation processes and plays an active role on Redpoint’s Investment Committee.  Most recently Mr. Adashek worked for the Stark Family Office as a Portfolio Manager.  Prior to joining the Stark Family Office, Mr. Adashek was a Managing Director for eight years at CSG Investments, Inc., a wholly owned affiliate of Beal Financial Corporation.  While at CSG, Mr. Adashek focused on originating loans for recapitalization, asset financing/refinancing, acquisitions and restructurings for organizations such as private family offices, corporate issuers, hedge funds and private equity firms.  Previously, Mr. Adashek held numerous roles of increasing responsibility in credit functions including Associate, Fannie Mae; Vice President of Credit Risk Management, Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.; Senior Vice President Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., Investment Portfolio Group.  Mr. Adashek earned a joint BA degree in Sociology and Religion from The University of Wisconsin-Madison and both an MA and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Clayton Huffstutter

Principal

Mr. Huffstutter joined Redpoint in 2017 to expand the structuring and capital markets efforts on the company’s successful portfolio and investment strategies. Previously Mr. Huffstutter was a managing partner with the loan advisory group Stinson Creek Capital where he focused on new business and client relationships. Prior to Stinson Creek Capital, he was the Regional Acquisitions Director for publicly traded REIT where he focused on Texas markets. Mr. Huffstutter was Head of Structured Finance at Hometown Commercial Capital where he spearheaded two successful stand-alone securitizations. Previous to Hometown he was a part of PNC Real Estate Finance’s two-member CMBS Capital Markets Group, responsible for structuring all CMBS transactions. There he advised other lines of business regarding their hedging strategies while also managing interest rate and credit hedging procedures for the bank’s $2.9 billion annual loan production portfolio. Before PNC’s acquisition in 1998, Mr. Huffstutter worked in the credit department for securitized pools at Midland Loan Services. Mr. Huffstutter earned his BA in Biology from Westminster College and his MBA from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business.

Christopher Harris

Principal

Mr. Harris joined Redpoint in 2013 to develop internal technology solutions to support the company’s portfolio growth and ongoing partner reporting requirements. Prior to joining Redpoint, Mr. Harris was the manager of Marketing Technology at Student Advantage, Inc, a Boston-based firm focused on bridging the gap between college students, businesses, and universities. While there, he managed the implementation of a large consumer database, customer service center, and Customer Relationship Management solution to service their 2+ million members. Mr. Harris also founded and managed a restaurant which he sold prior to joining the team. Mr. Harris earned his BSBA in Information Technology and Marketing from Boston University School of Management and his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business.

Cameron Banta

Associate

Cameron Banta joined the Redpoint team in 2015 to evaluate incoming investments, monitor existing portfolio investments, client financial performance, and assist with ongoing client reconciliations. Mr. Banta combines his analytical insight and data management acumen to provide timely and insightful reports related to Redpoint’s deployed funds.  He earned his BA in Finance from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business.

Bradley Forrest 

Associate

Bradley joined the Redpoint team in 2017 as an Associate. He is responsible for due diligence and financial analysis related to new investment opportunities, and assists with portfolio monitoring and management of current investments. Prior to joining Redpoint, Mr. Forrest was with a specialty finance lender where he focused on providing debt capital to businesses operating in the prime and subprime auto industry.  He earned his BA in Economics from the University of Virginia.
